Models

The models available are either plain or hexagon shape (beehive). Underneath the mat there are longitudinal grooves spaced at 18 mm (3/4") to allow air circulation, 6.3 mm (1/4") wide x 3.5 mm (1/8") depth. On special request, Technoflex can provide its customers with groove-less mats, bevelled edge(s), interlocked edge(s) or mats cut to requested sizes.

The mats are made of recycled rubber crumbs, originating from various products not specifically known, can result in slight variations in dimension of the finished product. This mat is designed to be used as a floor covering and should not be altered for other uses.

Warranty

Our mats have a limited warranty against premature wear or manufacturing defects for a period of five (5) years.

Installation

Floor preparation: The surface that will receive the Technoflex mat has to be dry, clean, smooth and free of oil stains and any other chemicals. The expansion joint in the floor, the deep splits and the uneven surface must be filled and levelled out with a good-quality product. Only the contractor can determine whether or not the surface (area) can adequately covered with the rubber mats. If the area is subject to dense humidity, underground or ground level, a test must be done to establish the degree of humidity contained in the concrete.

Temperature: Technoflex mats and the supplies must be maintained at room temperature (20°C or 72°F). Since rubber characteristics vary with changes in temperature, it is important that the Technoflex mats be stored for a period of 72 hours prior to installation in the area to be covered. We recommend the use of our adhesive. After laying down the material, it must be rolled with a 35 kg (75 lb.) roller.

Be sure to use the correct cleaning agent, sealer and finishing product.

Maintenance: Commercial, industrial and household uses.

We recommend that you never use alkaline products such as a cleaning agent. A normal cleaning agent used properly will maintain your floor in a good condition with a good looking surface. To get more details on other products to use and hard-to-remove stains and to obtain a glossy finish, please do not hesitate to call us.

Note

It is important that the manufacturer's installation specifications be followed at all times. Good floor preparation includes the use of a proper adhesive.

Caution

The black carbon (an ingredient in the rubber) used in the manufacturing of the mat has electric conductivity.
